Perfect Every Time Freshly Whipped Cream

Perfect Every Time Freshly Whipped Cream

If you ask me, or my kids, nothing comes close to freshly whipped cream!

In a pinch, sure, a can of aerosol whipped cream will do the job. But Homemade freshly whipped cream... it just can’t be beat!

If you’ve never made it before I think you’ll be surprised at how easy and fast it is. Let me share some of my favorite tips…

You’ll Need

1 cup heavy whipping cream

3 Tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon good vanilla extract (this is my favorite one!)

Here’s How

My absolute favorite way to make it is using nothing but a balloon whisk and a bowl. Yes this does take some elbow grease but that’s what kids are for! I like to turn it into a family affair by getting my boys on whisking duty. Preparing it this way you will end up with the most consistent, smooth Gorgeous whipped cream. Plus, you have total control so you don’t run the risk of over whipping.

Ok step one, put your medium size metal mixing bowl and balloon whisk in your freezer for 15-20 minutes. Yes the whisk needs to be ice cold as well! This is key!

Once your bowl is ice cold you are ready to go! Pour the heavy whipping cream into the bowl. Time to add the sugar and a splash of vanilla extract

Now you are ready to rock and roll! I like to place my bowl on a kitchen towel for a little extra hold. Grab your beautiful big balloon whisk and get cracking.

You are looking at 3-5 minutes here before you reach the soft peak stage. I tilt my bowl so I have a better range of movement for my whisk. First, you will notice big bubbles forming.

Keep going, next you will notice the cream starting to come together. You’re getting close.

Ok if you think you have reached your destination this is how you test it. Dip the whisk straight into the bowl and invert it. If the cream ever so slightly tilts to the side, you are there!

That’s it! You’re done. Simple, perfect freshly whipped cream every time. How easy was that!

Try this on Grammy’s Pumpkin Cake or a fresh bowl of berries. You can’t go wrong.

Enjoy!

All my love,

Cobi
